A first-of-its-kind convening bringing together the Bench, the Bar and the professions that keep them accountable — law, finance, accounting, tax and audit — for a single morning of rigorous, cross-sector conversation.
Every major legal outcome in Nigeria today sits beside a financial statement, a tax position, or an audit opinion. Yet the professions that produce these rarely share one room. The A.U. Mustapha SAN / NBA Ilorin Annual Public Lecture was conceived to close that gap — an annual gathering, hosted in Ilorin and open to the country, where legal practitioners, accountants, tax advisers, auditors and researchers examine the same hard questions from their respective benches.
This inaugural edition sets the format the lecture will keep: one keynote address from a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, a cross-sector panel, and a working audience of practitioners rather than spectators. Attendance is free and open to members of the Bar, the profession at large, and the public — in person in Ilorin, or live online from anywhere.
Speaker confirmations are in progress. Names below will be updated as SANs and sector leads confirm.
Physical attendees should plan to arrive from 9:00 AM for registration and seating. Full directions will be shared by email upon confirmed registration.
Virtual attendees will receive a live stream link separately ahead of the lecture.
